Business Insider Launches in Poland

Zurich, Warsaw, Poland and New York, NY – May 11, 2016 – Business Insider, the leading digital news brand for the global business community, today unveils its third European edition, Business Insider Poland (, which is operated by Grupa Onet, a Ringier Axel Springer Media AG company. Grupa Onet entered its partnership with Business Insider in late 2015, following Axel Springer’s acquisition of Business Insider Inc.

Business Insider Poland covers business and technology news in Poland and beyond. Łukasz Grass, the site’s Editor-in-Chief, has more than 16 years of experience as a journalist at TV and radio outlets including TVN24, TOK FM and Discovery Channel. The site’s editors and journalists collaborate with Business Insider editorial teams in the US, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia and Asia.

Monika Remiszewska appointed Group Director People and Development at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG

Effective February 15, 2016 Monika Remiszewska (40) will become Group Director People and Development at Ringier Axel Springer Media AG. In her role she will be overseeing and leading the group-wide HR activities.

In her role as Group Director People and Development for Ringier Axel Springer Remiszewska will report to Mark Dekan, CEO Ringier Axel Springer Media AG. She will be based in Warsaw.

Before joining Ringier Axel Springer, Monika Remiszewska worked as a Partner at Korn Ferry in Warsaw focusing on technology and media. She led Korn Ferry’s Digital Practice in CEE, supporting digital start-ups and global brands across e-commerce, payment, and digital media. Earlier in her career, she had worked for consulting divisions of PwC, IBM and Microsoft for almost fifteen years. 

She specialized in projects relating to strategy development and implementation, mergers and acquisition, human capital management, complex business transformations, change management, and organization and business process redesign. Monika holds a Master degree in International Economics and Globalization from the University of Economics in Katowice, Poland. She is a member of International Coach Federation and Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and Appoints Martin Troják (36) as Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and continues to strengthen its management. Today it announces the appointment of Martin Troják as COO effective of August 1st, 2015.

Martin Troják, in the newly established executive position of Chief Operations Officer will take responsibility for the areas of sales, finance, production and distribution. Furthermore as COO for Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and he will also focus on strategic acquisitions to fuel future growth, alongside with other strategic business developments. Martin Troják will report to Milan Dubec, CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and, who at the same will keep his focus on supporting further growth of companies, publishing content, digital transformation and the growth of online products and services.

Martin Troják previously worked at Ernst & Young in Bratislava, where he held the position of Director for Transaction Advisory Services. He joined the organization in 2002, besides this in years 2006-2007 he worked at the Ernst & Young office in Sydney, Australia. Martin has over 10 years of experience on the Slovak and international market across various sectors, especially the telecommunication sector, media business and the energy industry.

Martin Troják graduated from the Faculty of Management at Comenius University in Bratislava, specializing in financial management. Moreover, since 2006 he is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in England.
