Daniel Harcek appointed CTO of Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and

Daniel Harcek (34) has joined Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He reports to Milan Dubec, CEO of Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and Azet and to Helmut Krasnik, CIO Ringier Axel Springer Media AG.

Daniel Harcek, in the top executive position, heads the IT department for both companies. He has direct responsibility for about 100 of the technology staff, developers, designers and product and Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia run successful online services such as,, car and real-estate classified portals, market leading food delivery service and several content webs with major market leaders in its segment and

Given his skill set – and the ever-changing demands of technology landscape, he will own a large portfolio, from keeping teams agile, setting development standards to aligning technologywith business priorities alongside with increasing number of services provided by both companies as well as on Group level. Furthermore, he’ll support knowledge management initiatives and focus on employee growth programs, thus innovation culture.

Daniel will work closely together with Ringier Axel Springer’s “Dreamlab” technology hub employing another 200+ engineers based in Poland. Dreamlab will deliver backend solution for the Group’s content websites in cooperation with local development teams. This includes development of content management system and video platform. At the same time RAS group is planning to establish Azet technology hub in Slovakia leveraging local potential and rich experiences with classifieds and community services.

Daniel Harcek joins Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia and from VisualDNA CEE, where he was responsible to establish engineering branch of UK based leading provider of psychographic audience data VisualDNA. With 16 years of experiences in IT he was liable in variety of technical, operational and managerial roles. In 2006 he was at inception of, online affiliate platform provider in DACH region. He consecutively built and led department responsible for technical development of platform, accounting among others for architecture and introducing new products mainly in digital marketing and web analytic areas. In 2011 he was appointed CTO of, real-time visitor tracking and targeting tool, leading platform development, innovation and co-operation on product development and strategy.

Confirmed by Public: Daily Nový Čas Ranks Highest Readability

Confirmed by the Slovak readers: The daily Nový Čas undoubtedly the most widely read newspaper in Slovakia. The national survey MML-TGI conducted by MEDIAN SK agency taking part between the fourth quarter of 2014 to the first quarter of 2015 (15. 9. 2014 - 29. 3. 2015) has shown that daily Nový Čas being read by Slovakia.

Confirmed by the Slovak readers: The daily Nový Čas undoubtedly the most widely read newspaper in Slovakia. The national survey MML-TGI conducted by MEDIAN SK agency taking part between the fourth quarter of 2014 to the first quarter of 2015 (15. 9. 2014 - 29. 3. 2015) has shown that daily Nový Čas being read by Slovakia.

The daily only confirmed its leading position in readership among daily newspapers and thus significantly outpaced its competition. "Each issue of our newspaper is read by 737,609 people, representing 16.5% of the Slovak population aged 14 to 79 years," explains Ivana Špotáková Senior PR Manager.

The objects of the survey were the Slovak residents of 15 years age and over. The MML-TGI survey was completed on a sample of 4,434 respondents, using several methods, such as "face-to-face" (75% of the sample), furthermore online questionnaire (CAWI), not excluding questioning respondents on a personal level or via telephone interviews, if necessary.

The MML-TGI survey: Company MEDIAN SK, s. r. o. holds license in cooperation with the British company Kantar Media to implement the national survey MML-TGI® (Market & Media & Lifestyle - Target Group Index ®). In Slovakia the survey is carried out continuously since 1997.

Martin Stanecký Appointed as Head of Production Unit & Beata Jekkelová as Manager of Distribution for RAS Slovakia

Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia to strengthen its management. The management of Ringier Axel Slovakia appoints effective from April 1st this year Beata Jekkelová as Manager of Distribution and Martin Stanecký as Head of Production.

Martin Stanecký (36) joined the Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia in 2008 as Head of the graphic advertising team, where amongst other duties, lead business activities and communication with clients and suppliers of printing services. Prior to joining RAS Slovakia he worked as a graphic designer for an advertising agency and publisher of Generation Y magazine, Init Inc.

Beata Jekkelová (45) has served in the field of distribution processes within the media industry for more than 16 years. During 2000 - 2006 she successfully coordinated the distribution of RAS Slovakia´s portfolio. Later on she stepped in to start her career for media publisher 7 Plus Inc., where she focused on subjects ranging from distribution process to comprehensive market analysis. She launched her career in publisher Novy Cas vydavateľstvo časopisov a novín, Inc. as manager of distribution.

Maroš Mullner becomes new Head of IT at Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia

With immediate effect Maroš Mullner (34) from becomes new director of the IT Division at Ringier Axel Springer Slovakia, as he will replace Boris Adamec, current Head of IT. From his position Maros Mullner will be responsible for managing all IT tasks – such as ensuring reliable IT operation and IT solutions that support all strategic goals of both organizations.


Maros Mullner has more than 9 years of experience in information technology. During 2006 and 2007 he served as Database Infrastructure Administrator for Kia Motors Slovakia, performing infrastructure improvements of production and development databases. His career at started in 2007 where he held several positions in the years that followed, whereby he currently serves as Chief Technology Officer for Maros Mullner held several IT positions and masters’ great knowledge in the IT field and moreover the IT strategic goals of both Ringier Axel Springer and
